The process of releasing an Arizona mechanics lien is pretty straightforward. All that's required is filling out an Arizona lien release form (a template of which can be downloaded here) and filing it in the county recorder's office where the claim was initially filed. Keep in mind, that an AZ release should be filed within 20 days of receiving full payment. Failure to do so could open you up to liability for penalties and damages under ARS §33-1006.
