Prevailing wage requirements can be quite confusing, and sorting out who should be getting paid prevailing wages can be a struggle. We've recently discussed another California trucking prevailing wage question here: When should a truck driver receive prevailing wage? As mentioned in that answer, this United Contactors "Prevailing Wage Information for Trucking" guide should provide a lot of insight into California's prevailing wage requirements. As mentioned in that resource, most truck drivers who are hauling to public works sites will be entitled to prevailing wages. Admittedly, though, I'm no expert on the ins and outs of California's prevailing wage laws. So, reaching out to a California construction attorney or consultant who's got experience in that department might provide better clarity.
