I build compliant access products like wheel chair ramps and steps on modular buildings for companies like modspace ,Pac van, Mobil modular ,ECT. Many are at schools and on military bases and hospitals. I am employed out of ohio but travel to build them in eastern half of the country. I have never been paid prevailing wage and not sure if im supposed to be.

Ultimately, the prevailing wage laws of the project location will determine whether your work should be garnering prevailing wages. But, school projects will regularly require prevailing wages in states where prevailing wages must be paid. And, for federal projects, the Davis-Bacon Act will typically require the payment of prevailing wages regardless of the project location. Contacting your employer and inquiring about prevailing wages might be helpful for getting to the bottom of things - though, it's normal for prevailing wage discussions to get a little touchy, at times. Or, contacting a construction attorney familiar with prevailing wage laws across the east might be useful as well.
