I filed a mechs lien on 3/12/2020, how can I enforce the lien on the property?

CaliforniaLien Foreclosure

A lien was filed on a project Proxim Wireless on 3/12/2020 for $15,083.55, and they had made 1 payment of $4k on 3/11/2020. I need to know what I can do to enforce the lien to see if we can get paid on the outstanding balance of $11,418.54 (with interest charges).

Once a California mechanics lien has been filed, it will only be valid for 90 days after it has been recorded. If you don't receive payment, an enforcement action may be necessary. An enforcement action is a full lawsuit, so you should contact a local California construction attorney to help you with this process. We have a few CA construction attorneys in our Expert Center Community that you may want to reach out to personally. Also, if successful, the court may award the cost of recording the lien, along with attorney fees and court costs. One step you can take before proceeding with an enforcement action is to send a Notice of Intent to Foreclose. This isn't a required notice, but it has proven effective at inducing payment. Consider it a final warning that if you aren't paid within x amount of days you are ready and able to file a lawsuit to enforce your lien rights. For more resources, see:
