How should we position our deductive change order on a commercial project in Hawaii?

I am in a state contract on a commercial building and our original bid had GL Insurance as a line item Client elected to do insurance direct and we need to do a deductive CO to them Should they get just the amount listed on the breakdown under GL Insurance or should they get credit for General conditions and or Overhead & profit

I'm not sure I totally understand the situation. But, if the contract originally called for general liability insurance and that no longer has to be secured - then whatever amount was originally included in the bid to cover the GL policy should probably just be deleted as an item on the bid. If you're still unsure, it could be useful to consult with an attorney on the matter to have them read the relevant documentation and make sure that's the best way for proceeding.
