I filed a lein and was told by their lawyer they were going to bond it off. How do I know if this happens and then how would I get the money that was owed to me.
In Massachussetts, when a lien is bonded off pursuant to MGL ch. 254 §14, a notice is required to be served upon the claimant. After which, claimants will have to to file an action to enforce their claim within 90 days of either the date the lien was bonded off, or when the the claimant received notice of the bond; whichever is later.
