No, the general rule is that anyone who didn't contract directly with the property owner is required to provide a Notice to Owner in order to secure the right to file a Florida mechanics lien. So if you were hired by the property owner, there isn't a preliminary notice requirement for mechanics lien rights.
However, if the property owner requests it, you may need to provide a list of any and all subs and suppliers you plan to hire on the project within 10 days of receipt of the request.
