Contest of Lien

FloridaMechanics Lien
Anonymous General Contractor

We have a subcontractor that filed a lien on one of our projects that we need to contest: 1. There was never a PO or Verbal approval for the work 2.The work that they were paid for, we had to hire another subcontractor to fix. Can you please tell me if the notice of the contest of lien is what I need to fill out, it just seems so basic.

A notice of contest of lien is definitely one option for you. It shortens the time for the subcontractor to take action to enforce the lien, and it is a pretty straightforward form and process. If you have further questions, you should consult with an attorney.
