To Perfect a Mechanics Lien claim you must give notice in the manner prescribed by the Mechanics Lien Act within a specified time (from 90 days to 4 months) to all parties that are entitled to such notice (the Owner, any Banks, other Lienholders, etc.).
To Foreclose a Mechanics Lien claim you must file a lawsuit in the Circuit Court of the county in which the property is located.
