Can I sue this contractor for a fraudulent lein?

MichiganLien Releases
Anonymous Contractor

I'm a homeowner that had a house fire. Builder hired drywaller and paid him half to begin work. Drywaller was detained by ICE and never finished, but placed a lien on my home. Same drywaller never paid for supplies and we were both sued by the drywall supplier. I paid and was released from the debt, he did not and was garnished. I need this lien removed and he knows full well his was not entitled to the second half payment. Thank you.

Your question is unclear, who filed the lien the builder or the drywaller? In any case you can bond over the lien to remove it or it can be removed easily because it will expires 1 year after it was filed unless the lien claimant files suit to enforce it.
I have answered this question with a general knowledge of law and the limited information presented. My answer does not create an attorney-client
