Where can I file a lien?

GeorgiaMechanics Lien

HI, my parents worked on a new house adding the Siding to it back in November. They have not been paid for that house yet. The vendor who they worked for to finish that house owes them $4,700. The vendor said the company never paid them, but we got in contact with the company and they had already paid the vendor who has not paid us. We were told that we maybe could file a lien to get the vendor to pay for the job the was finished in November. Is that true, and how can we file a lien? Where can we get a Lien Form to file out? The house the worked on is in a different county then where we live.

Yes, you can file a lien in the county where the property is located. It must be filed within 90 days of the last date that you provide labor or materials to the project. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance.
