I got a letter from a sub contractor supplier for a non payment for materials. My contractor said he took care of payment already.bwhat form do I need to get signed for proof

If you have already made the payment to the direct contractor for the subcontractor's work, the direct contractor should provide you an unconditional waiver and release on progress payment that is signed by the subcontractor acknowledging that he has been paid in full for all work up to that point. If you have not paid for the work, you should requires a conditional waiver and release signed by the subcontractor as a condition to making the payment.
