I was VP for a Roofing Company. I have been let go after work slowed down after Hurricane Michael. I had 2 customers that owed money. 1 is a commercial(70k) and 1 residential(54K). Neither have paid and my old partner has stopped replying to me. Should I put a lien on both properties? My cut is 50% of both of these jobs, all labor/materials have been paid.

Depending on how the contract with the property owners was worded, it is likely that only the company has or had a lien right. You as an individual likely do not have that lien right. Your only course of action would likely be against your former employer. You may also want to encourage your former employer to put a lien on the property.
