We completed a project in Richmond, VA and our lien rights have expired but we still have a large sum of money due and we get no response from the GC. Do you have any suggestions?
While your lien rights have expired, you likely still have contractual claims for non-payment. What a lien would do is attach to the underlying property. Your claims will depend on their timeliness and those items in your contract that may have been breached, the main one being non-payment.
