Supplier Lien Releases

Hello, I work for the GC/Owner. I request the unconditional lien waivers once payment is received from our subs and also the lien releases from their suppliers. I have only been receiving one lien release per month from the suppliers. Should I be receiving supplier conditional and unconditional lien release or is the one release I receive sufficient?

It depends on the language of the release. While a project is ongoing, it is pretty common to obtain progress lien releases from suppliers that release liens as of the date of the release. Then at the end of the project, you can (and should) get a final, unconditional waiver of liens from that supplier for the specific project. if I have a conditional progress release from a supplier dated through 8/31/2021 can the owner request that I go back and get cond progress releases from same supplier for 6/30 and/7/31?
