Six flags over georgia

I was hired by amuse rides over the phone, to fly from Utah to Georgia, to work rebuilding old roller coaster. 4 th day was injured when I slipped on ice while loading lumber.foreman told me to keep quiet about injury on the job paid with credit card for immediate care for xrays. Was put on light duty. Then payroll was 5 days late so I flew home. Amuse refused to pay me 1400$ plus 600 per diem. They charged me for both airfare coming and going and hotel expenses while I worked for them.

Hiding a workplace injury is serious business. If injuries linger or if the proper care wasn't given at the time of the accident, then there may be a workers comp claim on the table for that. Further, if an employer failed to make the proper payments to their employee, then a wage and hour claim might be in order too. But, even if wage and hour claims aren't on the table, failure to pay what was promised is still a serious issue that'd potentially give rise to payment claims. For one, if you were hired as a contract worker and the terms of that contract weren't followed, then a breach of contract claim could be on the table. Alternatively, if amounts are owed and unpaid for work done on the job site, then mechanics lien rights could be available to some extent, too. And if that's the case, keep in mind that those rights might be leveraged into payment without ever needing to pursue an actual lien filing - like with a Notice of Intent to Lien.
