To "reverse" a Texas mechanics lien claim, a lien release form must be filed in the same county clerk's office where the mechanics lien was initially recorded.
Under Tex. Prop. Code §53.152, a lien claimant isn't technically required to release the filed lien until the property owner or prime contract (or anyone else making payments) sends a written request to release the claim. Although it's still best practice to do so once you've been paid. It will eventually be requested anyways. If a written request has been received, the lien should be released within 10 days of receipt to avoid any penalties.
