Re: Individual named on a lien (Order Num. 885679) Kenneth Pruitt

TexasMechanics Lien

I have been in contact with the legal representative for Pumpco and he raised a concern that an individual was named on the lien. I need to know if this is going to potentially create a bigger mess than the remedy. He certainly thinks so, but I have no idea because I am not a lawyer. Is naming g an individual something with which to be "concerned?" I need to know right away because to use his words, "I'd lift that lien so fast the ink would lift from the page it was on."

The property owner, regardless of whether the owner is an individual, an organization, or a business entity, must appear on the face of the lien in Texas. Thus, if the property is owned by an individual, that individual's name is required to appear on the face of the lien and would be a regular occurrence for liens against property owned by individuals.
