Could u please elaborate on the phases of a project life cycle using one example of the project in the construction industry?

It looks like there are generally 4 or 5 phases of a project's "life cycle." If the 4-phase model is accepted, the stages are: (1) Initiation, (2) Planning, (3) Execution, and (4) Closure. For the 5-phase model, a "monitoring" phases is added between Execution and Closure. However, I'm no expert on project management - so I'm not sure I'll be able to answer your question.
