I am looking for an attorney to file a lien foreclosure and was wondering if you could tell me how much you charge for this service. My lien is set to expire in 7 days.

Good morning! It depends on the Firm, but a "simple" lien foreclosure action should be approximately $1000 to $1500. It could be more if there is a breach of contract or other causes of action (e.g., claim on license bond). Don't wait until the last day, however, is attorneys need some time to get such a lawsuit filed.

In order to perfect your lien, you will need to file a lawsuit prior to your lien expiring. Then you will need to proceed through the lawsuit and prevail at trial, or settle on the way. The good thing is that according to the Nevada Revised Statutes, Chapter 108, you can get your attorneys’ fees reimbursed if you prevail against the property owner. In order for us to prepare and file the lawsuit, we require a $5,000 evergreen trust retainer to start with. The basis of this retainer is that we bill you once per month, based on our hourly rates, and we ask you to replenish the retainer each month back to the $5,000 level. If you would like to schedule a consultation with me to discuss your lien, the facts surrounding the lien and you best option moving forward, please contact my office at 702-388-0404 and tell my assistant that you need to schedule an initial consultation quickly because your lien expires in a few days. Since I do not have your name, please let my assistant know that you are calling from Levelset.

Our firm provides potential clients with a discount for the initial consultation of $200 for up to the first hour and then our normal rates thereafter. If your lien expires soon, you need to make a decision right away because it will take us a couple days to prepare the complaint and get it filed with the Court.

I look forward to meeting with you and discussing your options and I am hopeful we can be of some service for you.
