I'm licensed in California, but I did work in Arizona - which state do I file the lien in? I think Arizona but not sure.

Mechanics liens should be filed in the county where the work was performed - regardless of where a party is licensed. Granted, depending on the state, licensure may be a prerequisite to filing a mechanics lien. Both Arizona and California require that a lien claimant be licensed (if the work they're performing requires a license).
