If an employee retires that holds the license for the company what do we or he need to do before he retires?

We have three licenses (VA, PA, FL). I need to know what we need to do if the employee retires. In other words, if our licensed employee for these three licenses retires, what do we need to do? Also, what does he need to do?

You will likely need to find another qualifying individual for the license. Is the license in the name of the company or an individual? Is the company an LLC, corporation, partnership, or sole proprietorship? It may depend upon the situation. Alternatively, you may be able to enter into an arrangement whereby the retired employee stays on in an "emeritus" capacity. More information is needed. You should seek counsel.
