If a mechanics lien was filed on a vehicle i bought and i bought the car and satified the lien plus price added from vehicle but a friend dropped off the car and their was no owner information how do you know who to send the ceritified letter to

Kentucky

I bought a car off a mechanic with a notarized bill of sale but when I registered it I found out the mechanic sent the certified letter to the person who dropped it off. Not the registered owner. Now I can't get the title or proper registration. I did get it registered but when it went to Frankfort I guess the registration got cancelled. I need to know what I can do to get proper registration and the title.

I'm really sorry to hear about that - it sounds like a frustrating situation. However, at the Ask an Expert Center, we specialize in construction payment issues and construction law (including construction liens, which are called "mechanics" liens). So, I'm not able to provide helpful insight for your situation above.

However, there are some other resources available online that I think could be helpful for you. Specifically, both Avvo and JustAnswer enable individuals to ask legal questions and receive answers from licensed attorneys on a variety of subjects - beyond construction law. Hope that's helpful!

Hi there! I can advise you an alternative way of transportation. With the help of the Exotic Car Rentals Miami website, you can rent a cool car without having to think about mechanics and so on. I recommend that you go to the site right now and see what this service offers. Good luck with that, friend.
