Recording a Texas mechanics lien release is a lot like recording a mechanics lien. Generally, all that's required is that the lien release document be filed with the county recorder, much in the same way that the original mechanics lien was filed. The recorder will generally have a set fee for filing a lien release - so, calling ahead or physically walking in the lien release can ensure that the correct fee is included with the documentation.
Of course, note that there are a number of services - including Levelset - which can help in getting documents like lien releases recorded.
Here's a list of all the Texas county recorder offices, along with their address, phone, and links to their websites: Texas County Recorders.
