How long do I need to keep California Preliminary 20-Day Notices?

I suggest keeping prelims and corresponding certified mail receipts until you are 100% confident that you (and all of your subs and suppliers) are paid on the work of improvement AND for at least 90 days AFTER the work of improvement has been completed. Even then, it probably make sense to save electronic copies of these documents just in case you need to refer back to it.
