Prevailing wages in Massachusetts are determined by the MA Dept. of Labor Standards (DLS). The awarding public authority is required to provide a copy of the applicable wage schedule to all contractors during the bidding process. In addition to that, once the project begins, the wage schedules must be posted in a conspicuous place on the job site itself.
The Dept. of Labor won't issue a wage rate schedule directly to contractors. But, for the purposes of bidding, a contractor can request an example of the prevailing wage rates for their specific town. Click here to request an Example Prevailing Wage Schedule from the DLS.
