How long after you file a lien if it is not paid can you foreclose on it? Florida

You can begin foreclosing on a lien the same day you record it. You do not need to wait any amount of time. However, there is a maximum time you can wait to foreclose on the lien - that is if you do not have a lien foreclosure lawsuit filed within 1 year of the date a lien was recorded, then the lien is void.

The lien must be foreclosed in one year (713.22) unless the person or entity who owns the property upon which the lien is placed files a Notice of Contest of lien (713.18) which shortens the duration to 60 days from the date of the Notice of Contest.

Hello, does this apply to all lien Types? Or just construction?
