My son holds a Residential Builders' license in Louisiana. He wants to build a house for his brother in Florida. He has his own residential construction business in Louisiana. Does he have to have had a Louisiana license for 10 years?

He needs a Florida License. He can get it one of two ways. Apply and take the test and get the Florida License OR if he has a residential in Louisiana for 10 years then he can apply for the Florida license by endorsement. The residential LA license and the FLA license must be substantially similar in order to get the license by endorsement.
