Didn't have a written contract just a verbal agreement. Can I still file a lien and get my money owed?

Texas

I helped build a tank battery and was only paid $3800 when invoice turned in was $7142. Not even 1/2 of invoice.

Good morning Shane,

Thank you for reaching out! Typically yes, you are still able to file a lien for work and/or labor done on a property. The contract issue doesn't usually come into play unless you have to go to court, mediation or litigation.

Here is a great article by our owner that might provide some additional help.
