can we put lien on the city property?

TexasBond ClaimsRight to Lien

I filed lien on a address and found out that address is City's Property.

That's a good question, and it's one we get pretty often here at the Construction Legal Center. When property is publicly owned, that property will not be subject to mechanics lien claims. Potentially, a lien claim might be filed - but such a lien would very likely be unenforceable. On public projects, the more typical security interest would be a payment bond claim. You can learn more about payment recovery on public projects at the following resources: (1) Payment Recovery on Public Projects; and (2) Texas Public Project FAQs.
