I just sent the intent to lien on 3/19/2020, but now have no option to file the lien. Is my only option to file lawsuit? File Lawsuit Against Bond Due in 10 years, on 11/14/2029

Missouri mechanics liens will be available against private construction projects. And, the deadline to file a mechanics lien in Missouri will typically be 6 months after last furnishing labor or materials to the job. For equipment lessors, the timeframe is much shorter - merely 60 days from last furnishing. So, if the deadline hasn't passed, then filing a mechanics lien will be an option for recovering payment. If the job is public in nature, rather than private - a mechanics lien claim won't be on the table. And, instead, a bond claim would be more appropriate.
