I hired a contractor to do work on my bathroom, and paid this contractor ahead of time for all the labor. This contract hired a plumber for me who did a lot of work on a bathroom renovation, and before getting paid, the contractor went bankrupt and did not pay the plumber. This plumber is now asking me for money and threatening to put a lein on MY house, even though I paid the GC ahead of time for all labor and material costs. Can they still do this, and what are my options? Thanks!!!
