I purchased a prefab cabin to live in. It had to be finished out with walls built, electricity and plumbing. A former friend of mine is a contractor and he offered to do all of this for nothing. He and my husband are best friends which is why he made this generous offer. My husband and I are now going through a divorce and the house is going to have to be sold in the divorce. His friend is upset about the divorce and the house being sold and has now put a mechanical lien on it. Is this enforceable?
