Can someone file a false claim against home or does this need go go Befor a judge before lean is placed

Parents are leaving me their home that I am supposed to sell and split with my brother he's in the same situation with his wife right now there are 3 siblings that are supposed to split the house bothers wife is putting a lean against the house for the total amount of the House so if it's sold shell get all the money. Now I can't get any more information from my brother on this does she have to file these papers with the court and go beyond a judge and have proof she's owed this money. The property is in Georgia if he's doing this to her family he will most definitely do this to me

I'm very to hear that. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be. As a general note, depending on the type of lien being placed, filing a legal action and/or appearing before a court may or may not be necessary.
