If someone owns a house through a contract for deed, can I file a mechanics lien on them?

You can file a lien on the owner of the home if you did work on the home directly with the owner and it was within 120- days. You do not file it against a person but against the home so whether the person who hired you was buying on a contract for deed might not matter.
