Working on project for 4 months

California

I'm a stucco contractor in California and it takes sometimes 2 to 4 months for completion of the job. So my question what happens if I'm stlll working on the project after 90 days ? how do I set up the liens ? Pre lien 20 days Mech lien before 90 days

Your lien period is based on completion of the entire PROJECT not your work, so it doesn’t matter if you’re still working on the job after 90 days. You have more time than you think you do. I generally use the date the project received final approval from the building department (which you can generally find on-line) as the start of the lien period. I’m happy to answer any questions you have about this.
