Will my lien be valid if the job address listed is different than the job address on the prelien?

We do equipment rentals. The job address we were provided is an address that the county says doesn't exist yet, but we didn't know that when the prelien was sent. We think this is a new development, so the address we were given might be a planned address for after it's developed. Now we need to file a lien, and although that address doesn't exist, we found an address that does (and it looks like it would logically encompass this provided/planned/preliened address). If we sent a prelien with that first address that doesn't yet exist but need to file the lien for the same job using a different (but real) property address, would the lien be valid?

You should definitely run your specific factual situation by a construction attorney, but it sounds like your notice of intent and lien should probably reference the legal description, APNs, etc.  Depending on the County, this may be easy to retrieve or it may need a title company and/or paralegal to assist. ---CN
