Will a 2nd prelim supercede a initial prelim?
CaliforniaI issued a prelim for a job (timely manner) before engaging Levelset. After engaging Levelset, I input all of my outstanding jobs and inadvertently sent a new prelim out for the job. Due to numbers jobs happening at the site, the Levelset team issued the prelim w/out a GC. The property owner was also different than what I obtained from my customer. Needless to say, my prelim looks different that the one Levelset put together. How does this impact my potential lien position?

As long as you have sent a valid preliminary notice to the owner, direct contractor, and lender (if any) within 20 days of commencing work, you have complied with the preliminary notice requirements for lien rights and your lien rights will not be inhibited on this basis.
