Who is considered the "grantor" and "grantee" when filing a mechanics lien in Florida?

Florida
Anonymous Contractor

I am a land surveyor filing a lien on a property for non-payment. My forms are asking me to name the "Grantor" and "Grantee" but I do not know which to label my company as on the form.

It sounds like you are using a deed form, not a lien form. You can find the Florida statutory lien form here: http://www.leg.state.fl.us/STATUTES/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=0700-0799/0713/Sections/0713.08.html
