What type of attorney is needed if I am the homeowner and the contractor I hired keeps issuing me with thousands of dollars in change orders he claims were previously done (none of which were ever approved, signed, or even mentioned prior to the work being done)? We have paid more than the work that has been done and he has even halted all future work until we give him additional funds from the amount we signed for in the contract.
