What to do afetr a mechanic's lien was recorded on my property?

Utah

I'm an owner building a new construction. one of the subcontractors recorded a lien on my property. I have all evidences that I paid the general contractor for the work of the above subcontractors and this work is also officially recorded as "paid". furthermore, the construction agreement between me and the general contractor also said that as long as I paid for any work , he (the general contractor) will hold me free from any liens from his workers/subcontractors. My question is ..what should I do now? should I take legal actions against the general contractor ? the project is not completed yet and I'm afraid that legal actions will impact the project. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for reaching out to the Levelset legal community. If you are in need of specific advice for a current legal situation, you may want to consider reaching out to a licensed attorney in your state directly at their office. This forum is public, so it may not be the right place to discuss a sensitive legal issue. Levelset provides a list of attorneys in each state here: https://www.levelset.com/payment-help/experts/experts-by-state/ . From that directory you may find a law firm in your area to call privately.
