What form do I use to make sure the subcontractors get paid

CaliforniaLien Waivers

I’m doing a home renovation and I want to make sure all subcontractors get paid and don’t file a lien on my property

Before you pay your general contractor, make sure he gives you conditional lien releases on progress payments from each subcontractor who worked on your project during that pay period. Then, after you've paid him, make sure he gives you unconditional releases for that payment. Once the project is complete, you'll want unconditional final releases from the general and every subcontractor. You can find the forms online; google California mechanic's lien releases. But your general should have them.
