Hi, I wrote my student loan holder “Nelnet” a letter specifying the settlement check amount as payment in full for the entire amount owed on my student loan. I also wrote paid in full on the check that that was enclosed with the letter. Nelnet cashed the check, but left a balance owed. My letter clearly stated my intention to settle my debt owed with the amount written on the check as payment in full. What course of action should I take next considering Nelnet received the paid in full settlement letter and cashed the paid in full check? Thank you.
