Should i Continue to engage with client after sending Notice to file lien?

Hi, We where asked to wait three weeks to receive payment. That time is now. We have sent a notice to lien that client received Monday past. I want to send a short message to client that payment is now very past due. I'm being advised not to as it is becoming a legal matter. Should i send the message via text?

I am not comfortable with important notices being sent by text. When you are dealing with a debt and might want to later show your effort in providing notices, sending it by a strongly recorded method such as certified mail or even FedEx is better. As to whether not to send a further notice, frankly the more notices the better.
