Owner/General Contractor at Straight Line Construction

I am a General Contractor on a job the homeowner kicked my subcontractors off the job site and will not let us back in to finish. I invoiced him and he short paid. The customer asked me to put my invoice in his wifes name she is an attorney and I she never signed the original invoice. Can I put a lien on the property for the work completed? Thanks
