Need an answer as to the time frame of filing a lien.

Florida

We are a painting company and from time to time we do bartering services with some of our clients. This particular client is a chiropractor and the situation goes like this; I was involved in a car accident and was seeing a chiropractor for 6 months. At this time I was filing a claim against the other driver of the vehicle and awaiting the long process of suing the insurance company for damages and medical expenses. In the meantime, the chiropractor offered a barter service to paint his home in exchange for services and if I was to win the law suit he would in turn write off the expenses. His chiropractic services came to $7200.00 and my painting services came to $9,500.00 a difference of $3,800.00 that he would owe me. Well needless to say, I won the law suit and he wrote off the $7,200.00 from the bill on the settlement statement and refuses to me the balance of $3,800.00. The time frame is in question because I completed the painting last year on 11/7/19; but the law suit just settled on 10/5/20. Can I still file a lien even though it has been longer than 90 days?

A lien must be recorded within 90 days of a lienor's last date of work. No exceptions.
