Is the six month lien time in Alabama from the last time work was completed on the physical property or would this include clerical work on the project as well?
I assume you are referring to the deadline to file for the lien initially and not to enforce it? With that in mind, the statute refers to providing materials or labor. As a result, you may be able to argue that the clerical work is labor, but I believe physical labor of some variety is likely required.
