Lien filed - how to enforce

We are a commercial subcontractor. We filed lien against Studio Movie Grill for 131k in CA. Nearly everyone associated with the project has filed lien with no response from anyone. The GC is moving forward with Foreclosure filing. What/who should I contact to get first in line on this payment. We suspect that Studio Movie Grill will not reactivate this project, they have gone way over budget.

You have 90 days after recording your lien to file suit. Don't miss that deadline. As for the owner's lawsuit that is ongoing, after you file suit, it may make sense to have your lawsuit consolidated with the GC's lawsuit. Assuming there is no money to satisfy 100% of all the liens, there should be a pro rata distribution of the money that is available.
