FloridaLien Deadlines

On march 2 2022 we had meeting in the General Contractor Office to discuss change orders I have been placing over a contract for a commercial jobs, the discussion was very hard because I am notice they don't want to pay and they are doing everything in their power to avoid have to pay us, the job I did was HVAC, we physically finished working there around Octuber 2021, my question is if the meeting on March 2 2022 can be count by the law like the last job we did it in the project in order I have time to file lien over the property or need to be physical job only, I mean the meeting is not consider legally like the last job to count the time for mechanical lien. Let me know, thanks Roberto M Morales

This is not clear. Are the change orders related to the HVAC work finished in October 2021? Did the completion of the HVAC work complete your contract? Either way a meeting to talk about why you have not been paid does not extend the time for filing a lien. The lien must be filed within 90 days from the last labor, services or materials provided to the project, not including punch-out and trivial work.
