I'm a owner who paid the last part of my pool contract for $5000. I made a signed release of lien with notary. The problem is that I was told by the coordinator in the company to do the check under his name, and not the company. We already did that with others payments, (I paid directly to a fence company for instance), so I didn't thought that was an issue. Now, the contractor company say that he did not receive the payment and want to sue me. The question is: I have a caches check under his coordinator name and the release of lien signed.
